Diffraction (Crystallography)

Diffraction (also called Laue diffraction) refers to changes in the direction of light beams (e.g. X-rays) due to interactions with the electrons around atoms due to elastic scattering, when the energy of the waves does not change.

This module covers the Bragg’s law (or Laue—Bragg interference), which is a special case of Laue diffraction that gives the angles for coherent scattering of waves from a large crystal lattice.
