Ideal Gas Model¶

The ideal gas model is a theoretical model of a gas consisting of non-interacting, randomly moving particles. The absence of interparticle interactions allows for a big simplification in the understanding of ideal gas thermodynamics. Moveover, real gases can be described with this model under certain conditions, for instance at higher temperatures and lower pressures, or if it is a noble gas.
