Direct Current

Direct current (abbreviated as DC) is one-directional flow of electric charge, which distinguishes it from alternating current. An electrochemical cell (Wikipedia) is an example of a device that generates direct current.

This module also features

  • the Ohm’s law, which connects current to voltage and resistance,

  • formulas for the electric power in resistive circuits
