Spring (Oscillations)

Springs provide a natural example of oscillatory motion. In the simplest case of Hookean strings, i.e. they obey the Hooke’s law, they perform simple harmonic motion when pulled away from the point of equilibrium. For more, see Springs (Classical Mechanics).
